So sorry

So sorry I’ve not posted in about a month. My hands are giving me a fit so I’ve had to take a break from the keyboard. I hope to be back soon, though.

  1. Each evening, before closing down, I check my favourite blog site, to read your latest postings. I’m sorry to learn why we’ve not seen anything new for awhile, and very concerned that you are having so much trouble with your hands. As one who struggles with “hand problems”, may I suggest “thermal mittens”? Insulated, they will hold temperatures for either cool or warm gel packs (as prescribed), for several hours, and are designed to work with warm wax treatments, too. They are (intentionally) bulky, so that one has to let the hands rest….very comforting. Warmest wishes, from Barbara, near Ottawa, Canada

  2. I sure have missed you Rochelle. Was really worrying about you. Hope you are feeling better soon.

  3. I know how you feel, I have osteoporosis and believe it or not bookkeeping is my living. Sometimes my hands hurt so BAD I truly understand.
I hope you feel better soon, I also missed you!

  4. So glad you are ok. I was worrying about you not posting for so long. I kept meaning to send you an email but haven’t been on the computer much lately. Hope your hands start feeling better soon, and I’m glad to see you back.

  5. Hi Rochelle!

We have really missed you here in Sweden. Every time I open my email I look out for Land of PureGold. It is a comfort to read all the stories and to know that you’re not alone.
    You are doing great things.
I hope you get better soon.

  6. Christina, how sweet of you to write. I love having folks so far away tuning in. I actually traveled to Sweden 1 summer and studied at the U of Lund. It was so lovely and special.

  7. I am glad you’ve been here to see for yourself. Yes, Sweden is special in many ways. We are, for exampel, the only country that has a law called “allemansrätt”. In my dictionary it’s translated as “legal right of access to private land”. And that’s a good thing. You can go everywhere and do whatever you like in the summer. And that’s what I do with my beautiful angel, Ella. We started our journey together when I found here two years ago. She was fearful and anxious but now she’s a wonder of happiness and joy.
We would like to share that with you.

  8. Hello again Rochelle: I have sent the information about the therapeutic mittens to you, through your “contact” page. As your website is so large, I didn’t want you to miss it! Please feel free to share as you wish.

  9. Perhaps those exact ones are not, but your physio-therapist should be able to recommend a similar style for you. There are any number of different ones on various websites, and if your hands are treated with cold packs, hot wax, etc, as prescribed, then over wrapped in insulated mittens, this would replicate and produce the same effect. I’ll be most interested in how you get along, but do remember that resting them is the place to start!
