Creative Golden Retriever scratchboard drawing

I think this is a wonderful piece of art. It was created by high school student, Minzhi Chen for an art exhibit.

Minzhi Chen, 18, created a portrait of his brother’s golden retriever, who was looking at the sky. Chen used a technique called scratchboard, involving a white board with a black ink coating. The black ink is scratched off with a special knife to reveal white, resulting in white lines on a black background. “It’s the opposite of drawing,” Chen said.
