One of the many reasons I love Rosie

As a special educator before becoming a school psychologist, I have been in love with children for a long time. I have always felt it a big responsibility to be their advocate as there is nothing more precious in our lives than family.

I believe my background allows me the ability to clearly see those people who have their hearts in the right place. And, Rosie surely does. She uses her wealth to help children, to inform others about various disorders, and so much more.

At her blog today, she posted a video clip of her most favorite segment from The View. If people cannot see her humanity, well, what can I say. It is just a loss for them.

I, too, love broadway’s shows and music, so this clip was wonderful to see. It was also fitting that I should see it on the day I have been going crazy with respect to Alfie’s birthday, as it is the song from Rent that has to do with pieces of time.

  1. I saw this show live, and it made me smile and cry all at the same time. I’m so glad the clip is on You Tube now. I have watched it 3 times already. It just makes you feel good.

I read Rosie’s blog every day. She is such an advocate for children. She also is very outspoken on autism, depression, and of course the heinous criminal war in Iraq. She is number one at this point for the celebrity blogs for the Blogger’s Choice Awards.

Thank you so much for posting this You Tube video, Rochelle. It is such an incredible clip. It even prompted me to buy the CD and DVD of Rent. Wow, it is a great show! And Frenchie Davis, who was kicked off Idol, is absolutely amazing.

  2. Yes, I agree with Rosie on many things and she is a breath of fresh air when I see so many other folks who are so insincere. I only watched the view when she entered the scene and promptly stopped when she exited. As a huge advocate for children since the age of 16, I understand very much what she is all about. But, many do not. It’s funny how we love many of the same performers. We both love Bette too, who some believe is being considered as a replacement on the view. The problem is, no one will be able to replace her. Maybe she will come back and have her own show.
