  1. Thankfully these brave and loyal dogs are no longer considered “equipment” and are brought home. In fact just the other week, I saw a soldier as a patient who was instructed to have medical tests himself. His working dog had gotten sick, and was sent to our Base for special care by the full time Army Veterinarian stationed here.

  2. What a wonderful tribute to those dogs which saved so many lives.
    We are so glad they are no longer considered equipment and are allowed to live out their days as hero’s.
    Maybe sometimes we do learn from our mistakes.
